COMMA. Summer 2025 Recap - From Musikkfest to Findings Festival and Going Forward
This summer has been a defining moment for COMMA., with our artists taking their sound across some of Oslo’s most important dancefloors and festivals. From open-air city stages to underground club nights and festival slots, we’ve built momentum around progressive house and trance in the Norwegian capital — and the energy has been unreal.
Musikkfest Oslo - A Journey Through the City
We opened the season at Musikkfest Oslo, the day where the entire city transforms into a celebration of live music. COMMA. curated a stage-to-stage journey through the house and progressive scene, supporting our artists and connecting with the wider Oslo community.
At SALT Arts & Music, Hovland delivered an extended 90-minute set - a flowing mix of progressive textures and melodic drive that set the tone for the night.
The crowd then followed us to Streetbackboys @ Rockefeller, where DECO 5000 brought his signature trance energy to the main stage, lifting the room with a high-intensity performance that left no doubt about his direction as an artist.

The night closed at The Villa Dancing, where Hovland & Marensius went back-to-back for a peak-time progressive house set. The room was electric, a proper late-night Oslo club moment that reminded everyone why The Villa remains such a cornerstone of the city’s underground.

Hovland & Marensius at The Villa — Supporting Fehrplay
Later in June, Hovland & Marensius returned to The Villa, this time supporting Oslo legend Fehrplay. Sharing the booth with one of the city’s most respected names was both an honor and a statement, proof that COMMA. is becoming a real force in the progressive house landscape. The duo built the room from deep grooves into a driving peak, setting up perfectly for Fehrplay’s headlining slot and cementing their place on The Villa’s main stage.
Findings Festival — Two Hours of COMMA. Energy
In August, COMMA. stepped into the festival spotlight as Hovland & Marensius performed a two-hour set at Findings Festival. Across the set, they pushed their sound to thousands of festival-goers, balancing melodic storytelling with dancefloor impact. It was a showcase of how far the project has come in just a short time, and a glimpse of what’s possible moving forward.
What’s Next
We’re closing out the summer with an all-nighter in The Villa main room on August 23rd. A proper chance to stretch out, play deep into the night, and share one more dance with the Oslo crowd before the season turns.
On the release side, there’s plenty to look forward to:
DECO 5000’s latest track "B With U" just landed on Underzone.
Hovland is gearing up for an EP on Café De Anatolia, made in collaboration with local organic house figure Lorentz Bodega (Epiphany) and backed by remixes from donnerstag and Ryan Diefenbach.
Plenty more is on the horizon this fall and winter - both on stage and in the studio.
