Violand is the Oslo-based duo of producer Herman Hovland and vocalist/composer Jørgen Vigre, creating progressive electronic music rooted in groove, emotion, and sonic detail. With a refined sound that balances club energy and introspective atmosphere, their music merges melodic tension with rhythmic drive — often guided by Vigre’s haunting vocal textures and Hovland’s cinematic production style.

Formed through years of shared studio time and mutual admiration for progressive house, their project found early momentum with the release of “Sweven” on Freegrant Music, a track later picked up and supported by Miss Monique. Their follow-up, “Elude”, was played by Jordan Gill and further solidified the duo’s potential in a scene hungry for melodic nuance.

Following several standout live performances and continued support from the progressive community, Violand are now preparing their first full EP, "Both Of Us," releasing in May 2025 on Freegrant Music. The project showcases the full spectrum of their sound: from warm, groove-forward moments to emotionally layered breakdowns — always maintaining a sense of movement and cohesion.
